Edsel and Eleanor Ford House engagement sessions will always be favorites of mine! The Ford House is one of the best spots in Metro Detroit for couples sessions. The blend of history, beautiful architecture, and stunning gardens make the property the perfect backdrop to celebrate love! I met up with Rachel and Edgar on a gorgeous August summer day last year to capture their Ford House engagement session and we could not have asked for better weather. The sun was shining and the glow in the rose garden was nothing short of stunning! We were so lucky!

Rachel and Edgar are the sweetest couple and they’ve been together for many years. They were one of my first couples to book me for 2021 and they’re actually having their wedding at Cherry Creek where Jason and I got married! They’re getting married in just a few short weeks and I absolutely can’t wait to see them become husband and wife! Planning a wedding through the ups and downs of 2020 and 2021 has certainly not been an easy feat. But they have taken everything in stride and above all just can’t wait to be husband and wife. I think that says everything about them and more!

We had a great time exploring the grounds for their Ford House engagement, beginning in the courtyard. The courtyard always reminds me of Verona and Italy! It’s so pretty! From there we walked around the back lawn before heading up to the rose garden. The sun shining through the rose garden was perfect for golden hour photos and I love all of the photos we captured there! I had so many favorites from their session that it was hard to narrow them down!
