A few weeks ago I was able to photograph Sarah and Ashraf’s Downtown Detroit engagement session before things got really crazy in Michigan! I’m so thankful we were able to capture these memories! Although it was a little chilly, we were lucky to have a nice March afternoon with no rain and no snow!!

Sarah and Ash both went to Wayne State University so it made perfect sense to capture a few photos on Wayne State’s campus! The architecture around the city of Detroit is so beautiful and the buildings at Wayne State are no exception. I absolutely love the black and white photos we captured with the columns!

The city of Detroit is really important to Sarah and Ash. Sarah is a reporter for The Detroit News and she truly lives and breathes the city. I had so much fun going to different spots for their Downtown Detroit engagement session with these two and hearing all about their love for Detroit.

We even got some sunshine on this windy early March day and the golden glow made for some really beautiful photos. I love how Sarah and Ash were all smiles the entire time! Their love for each other is so evident and they were such a joy to be around. The black and white photos from their session are seriously some favorites of mine. I love them all!

Congratulations Sarah and Ash! I hope you guys love these photos as much as I do and I can’t wait to celebrate you guys at your wedding at The Dearborn Inn this Fall!
