Alyssa and Mike’s romantic summer Metro Detroit wedding at Sycamore Hills was absolutely one for the books! I know I say it all the darn time, but I really and truly believe I have the BEST couples. Alyssa and Mike are so kind, joyful, and relaxed. Their wedding day was fun and chill – just like them! I don’t think it could have been any more perfect.

We started the day at Alyssa’s house where the girls got ready. Alyssa was the picture of calm all morning and there was just so much excitement in the air. Mike and Alyssa have been together for over eight years and their wedding day was a long celebration in the making! From there we headed over to Sycamore Hills. The green golf course and beautiful flowers were a lovely setting for their summer Metro Detroit wedding. First looks will always be my favorite and I am so glad Alyssa and Mike chose to do one! Mike’s face when he turned around and saw his bride for the first time was the best. He was beaming from ear to ear! These two are best friends and such great partners. Their relationship is so special and it was so beautiful to capture.

There were so many special moments throughout the day and it was so evident that Alyssa and Mike’s families are so important to them. I love when couples choose their siblings to stand alongside them in their wedding party. I think it says so much about them as individuals and their families. Not only do they cherish their families, but they truly call their siblings best friends. Their siblings and friends welcomed us right into the group and I am so grateful! I love Mike’s brother Rich gave the most heartfelt speech and when he thanked his parents for giving him his very best friend, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. It was so incredibly sweet.

I have so many favorite photos from this day – it was so hard to narrow it down for one post! I especially love all of the golden hour portraits we captured! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. LaFeir!!
