Welcome to the Brp journal
Katelyn and Matt celebrated their Downtown Detroit wedding in mid-November in a beautiful ceremony at the historical Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. When Katelyn described her vision for their wedding to me, I just knew we were going to be an awesome fit. She loves coffee, pearls, Frank Sinatra, and all things classic! Every part of Katelyn and Matt’s day was the definition of classic and elegance.
We started the day at Katelyn’s mom’s home where the girls got ready. Everyone was so excited and so happy all morning! Katelyn’s flower girls gave her the sweetest gifts and notes – it was just adorable. The moment when Katelyn’s bridesmaids and family saw her for the first time was just perfect! It was so sweet!
From there we headed to to their Downtown Detroit wedding ceremony at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. It is definitely one of the most beautiful churches in Detroit! The architecture is just stunning. The Cathedral was the perfect location for Katelyn and Matt’s heartfelt ceremony. I loved how Katelyn would look over at Matt and smile so big! They were so happy to be married!!
Although it was certainly a chilly November day, Katelyn, Matt and their big bridal party handled it so well! It was definitely a challenging weather day and this crew made it look so good! They braved the cold and wind to capture amazing photos in Downtown Detroit outside of the DIA. I loved the images we took there! This bridal party looked so amazing – the guys were in classic black tuxes and the girls were in gorgeous gold Adrianna Papell dresses! We even were able to get a few photos in just before we lost the light on top of a parking garage and those photos of Katelyn and Matt are definitely favorites!
One of my very favorite parts of the entire day was Katelyn and Matt’s first dance. It was seriously just so sweet. Katelyn and Matt only had eyes for each other and their smiles just lit up the entire room! It was evident throughout the entire day just how important friends and family are to these two.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Ronse! I’m so glad I got to be apart of your day and I wish you so many years of love and happiness! I can’t wait for you to see all of your photos!
