I had been looking forward to Carly and Johnny’s Fall Michigan wedding for over a year and it definitely did not disappoint! Carly was one of my first brides to book me for 2018! Their wedding day was such a perfect celebration for a couple that has been together since they were teenagers. It was so special to witness their joy as they became husband and wife! Carly was the most stunning bride! I’m still so obsessed with her dress!

Carly and Johnny had a beautiful ceremony at their family’s church and it was just perfect. Johnny was smiling so big when he saw Carly walking down the aisle towards him! It was just the sweetest. They shared so many little smiles and moments during their ceremony and it was just a joy to capture.

After a lot of rain the days leading up to Carly and Johnny’s wedding, it turned out to be the most beautiful sunny Fall day! I was so excited to see the sunshine on the morning of their wedding. I just knew their portraits with the sun and Fall colors would be amazing and I was so right! Wait until you see these gorgeous images against all the orange, yellow, and green leaves! It was the perfect October day for a Fall Michigan wedding!

From portraits, we headed to cocktail hour where Carly and Johnny greeted their guests as they arrived. It’s not as common to see receiving lines as it used to be, but it’s actually a tradition I love and kind of wish I had done on my own wedding day! They got to give every guest a big hug and thank them for sharing their day. So special! There were so many highlights from their reception, including the heartfelt speeches given by two respective best men and maids of honor and parent dances. Carly and Johnny lit up the dance floor all night long and it was so fun to watch. You can truly tell these sweethearts are made for each other and their love is so beautiful.

Congratulations newlyweds!! I am so darn happy for you both and I hope you had the best time on your honeymoon! I can’t wait for you to see these photos and thank you for choosing me to capture your day!
