We could not have asked for a more beautiful winter February day for Amanda and George’s engagement session at Michigan State University! Amanda really wanted snow for their photos and we got so lucky! Just a few days later it was completely melted. This has been such a strange Michigan winter this year!

Amanda and George met at Michigan State University at the end of Amanda’s freshman year. Their story is seriously the cutest. Amanda was looking for a date for her sorority formal and a friend introduced her to George. They met for the first time at the Starbucks at Wells Hall so they could meet each other in person before going to the dance together. Amanda told me when they sat down, George told her, “I have something for you.” He handed her a piece of paper and it was his resume! He said, “Here, look it over. See if I fit what you’re looking for.” As she says, he turned out to be everything she was looking for and so much more. Six years later they’re getting married!!

George also proposed to Amanda in front of Beaumont Tower on Michigan State’s campus. MSU has so much significance in their story and I just love that! It was absolutely the perfect place to capture their engagement photos. We even got to go back to Wells Hall and take a few photos on the bench where they had their first date and the spot where they got engaged at Beaumont Tower! These two are so darn sweet together and I love how George makes Amanda light up!

Congratulations Amanda & George!! I hope you love your photos as much as I do and I sincerely can’t wait for your wedding at Cherry Creek in December!!
