Last week I got to hang out with Brooke and Brian for their engagement session on Belle Isle in Detroit on what may have been the hottest evenings of the summer! These two were total troopers though – you can’t even tell we were melting from the heat! We took so many wonderful engagement photos on Belle Isle and then headed back to Downtown Detroit to take a few more in the city. Unfortunately, the skies opened up and it started down pouring as soon as we crossed into Detroit, but we were able to snag just a few quick photos in a parking garage! I have so many favorites from this engagement session! The light was so dreamy by the fountain on Belle Isle and the architecture at the Casino is just so classic! Plus, Brooke and Brian are absolutely adorable together and look like models! I just loved Brooke’s outfit!!

Brooke and Brian have known each other since they were in 7th and 9th grade. Brian is best friends with Brooke’s cousin and he used to tease her cousin that he was going to marry Brooke one day. And after 5 years of dating, Brian proposed to Brooke in Hawaii while on vacation! How amazing is that!? These two are total sweethearts and both hardworking nurses. I got to see their beautiful home they just bought together and I am so excited for them!! They love to travel and they’re even planning their honeymoon in Italy, one of my all time favorite places! I knew when Brooke found me we were going to instantly hit it off and I was right. These two are just wonderful and I feel so honored that I get to be the one to photograph their wedding in September.
