Welcome to the Brp journal
A few months ago, Akiko found me on Instagram and reached out about photographing their wedding session in Downtown Ann Arbor. Akiko and Akira are from Japan and have been living in the United States for the last two years while Akira completed his MBA from the University of Michigan. Akira graduated from UofM this past April and they were returning to Japan the first week of May. They wanted to celebrate their time in the U.S. by having wedding photos taken in Downtown Ann Arbor before they returned home. I feel so lucky these two found me and I’m so grateful they chose me to capture these memories to commemorate their time in Michigan! Akira wanted this wedding session to be absolutely perfect for them and he just doted over his beautiful wife the entire time. One of my favorite moments was when I asked Akira to whisper in Akiko’s ear why she was the best wife ever. She laughed and laughed and told me that Akira is so funny – he always makes her laugh. It’s one of the reasons she loves him most. I also loved how he helped her with the train of her dress without her ever asking and genuinely cared for her. When I asked Akiko to tell Akira why she was proud of him and his accomplishments, Akira told me with a big smile that he was very proud of Akiko, too. Their love and partnership is so special and I’m so glad I got to know this sweet couple. Akiko’s details were amazing – right down to her gorgeous crystal earrings and stunning teal Badgley Mischka heels! Everything we captured is so classic and elegant. Ann Arbor and campus made the perfect backdrop for this wedding session! Thank you Akiko & Akira for choosing me to photograph these special moments – I’m so glad you found me and I hope you love your photos as much as I do!
