Nicolette and Drake’s elegant Fall War Memorial engagement session is definitely an all-time favorite of mine!! I’ve been looking forward to sharing their session for SO long! It’s hard to believe this session was last September! Nikki and Drake are one heck of a beautiful couple and two of the nicest people ever. Nikki wore the most gorgeous emerald green gown for their engagement session! I loved their session so much.
In typical Michigan fashion, the Fall weather was slightly unpredictable – we started off with sun, had some brief showers, and then the sun came out again! It gave us the perfect opportunity to take some beautiful photos inside the library of the War Memorial. It’s always been one of my favorite rooms there! The sun poked its way back out again just in time for some glowy sunset light and the photos in front building with the golden glow behind them are some of my favorites from their Fall War Memorial engagement session. It doesn’t get any better than that sunset glow!
Nikki and Drake were planning a big June 2020 celebration before this year forced them to pivot. Although they postponed the big celebration to 2021, they got married on their original date with just their closest friends and family at The Oakley. It was a perfect day for these two to become husband and wife. I was so honored I got to be a part of their intimate wedding day! This year sure has been a crazy one, but it’s been incredible to witness so much love. It makes me that much more excited for 2021 and all of the continued celebrations to come!
Congratulations Nikki and Drake!! It was such an honor to capture your Fall War Memorial engagement photos and your 2020 wedding! I can’t wait to celebrate again with you guys next year!!
