I stayed up super late this week to edit these photos before Erika and Mike officially become husband and wife tomorrow! We did their golden hour engagement session just one week ago, but I knew I wanted to have these done as a surprise right before the wedding. This session was extra special to me because Erika is one of my nearest and dearest friends! We have only been friends for a few years, but I truly feel like we’ve been friends forever. Erika is one of the kindest, most thoughtful, and sweetest people I know. She would do anything for anyone and has such a giving heart! Mike is one of the coolest guys. He is so friendly and welcomes everyone he meets like family. They are so good together and I love how much they smile around each other. These two are soulmates without a doubt. Erika and Mike have been together over seven years so their wedding tomorrow has been a long time in the making!

I was so glad we were able to squeeze in a short golden hour engagement session last week! We had the most beautiful golden hour for photos – I could barely contain my excitement over the sunset! And Erika and Mike looked SO good! Erika wore the loveliest yellow and blue dress and Mike had on his signature dapper hat. They totally rocked their session! I honestly couldn’t pick a favorite if I tried. The photos of these two having fun at the beach and playing in the water are SO good. Mike took a little inspiration from The Notebook for the beach photos and his idea was spot on. These images of them are incredible! You can feel their joy in these photos!

Erika and Mike, I’m trying not to cry as I write this post. I am SO honored I get to be the one to photograph your wedding day tomorrow and be there alongside you as you officially become Mr. and Mrs. Dettloff! It’s going to be a PERFECT day!!
