Erin and Dan’s beautiful Charlevoix wedding was absolutely one for the books! This was an extra special wedding day for me. Erin and I have been friends since we were toddlers in ballet together. Our moms are best friends and our families have been in each other’s lives for over twenty-five years. Erin and I grew up together! Erin’s mom Robin has always been a special part of my life. And Erin is a minister of the gospel and she actually married Jason and I last year! It was so incredibly profound to me that we were both able to play such important roles in each other’s wedding days.

Erin and Dan have made Traverse City their home and it was really important to them to share their love of Northern Michigan with their friends and family. They chose to have their Charlevoix wedding at Shanahan’s Barn and it was the perfect place for these two. I seriously loved this venue!

It poured rain the entire time Jason and I drove to where Erin was getting ready in Downtown Charlevoix, but luckily the sky cleared up quickly! We headed to Shanahan’s Barn for their Charlevoix wedding and we were able to have their amazing ceremony outside still! Although it was a little windy, it couldn’t have been more beautiful and perfect for these two. Their faith is very important to them and it was evident in every part of their ceremony. It was so special! Wait till you see the sweet photos of them washing each other’s feet!

We snuck away for a little bit and went by the water for a few more portraits. I am absolutely obsessed with the sunset photos we took in Petoskey overlooking Lake Michigan! New favorites for sure!! In every single photo, you can just feel the joy and love radiating from these two.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Wanschura!! I am SO unbelievably honored that I got to capture this special day for you guys! I hope you love your photos as much as I do!
