I have been looking forward to sharing Morgan and Kyle’s elegant engagement session at the DIA and Belle Isle in Detroit for several weeks now! The end of summer was filled with so many wonderful engagement sessions and weddings, so I am definitely playing a bit of catch up with editing and blogging! I’m so excited to share these beautiful images finally!

This engagement session was an extra special one for me. I have had the honor of getting to know Morgan the past couple of months and I feel so lucky to say that not only is she is one of my 2019 brides, but she is also my friend. Morgan found me on Instagram earlier this year and I am just SO glad she did! Morgan is also an incredibly talented photographer and I have been very fortunate to have Morgan second shoot with me for a few of my 2018 weddings! It is seriously such an honor that she asked me to photograph her wedding, especially given the fact that she photographs weddings and is so amazing! I have loved getting to know her and I am so grateful for her friendship!

Their Detroit engagement session was the first time I got to meet her fiance Kyle and I had so much fun hanging out with these two! It was truly one of the hottest evenings of the entire summer and these two were such good sports dealing with the heat! Especially Kyle in his nice suit! We started at the DIA and captured some gorgeous images in front of the beautiful marble! One of my very favorite places. From there we headed to Belle Isle to pop some champagne by the water and capture a few more! It was such a wonderful evening. I could go on and on about how great these two are and how much I love their photos, but I’m just going to let these images speak for themselves.

Congratulations Morgan and Kyle!! I can’t wait for your wedding next September – I know it’s going to be an incredibly special day and I’m so glad I get to be apart of it!
