August was filled with so many beautiful weddings and Lauren and Nate’s amazing day at Paint Creek was no exception! I have just loved all of my summer weddings this year! We started the day at the hotel where the girls were getting ready in one suite and the guys were getting ready in another. There was so much anticipation and excitement in the air all morning! Lauren and Nate absolutely couldn’t wait to see each other for their first look and I loved the moments where they read their letters! It was so sweet!

I just love when couples decide to do a first look and share that special moment, just the two of them. Lauren and Nate decided to do their first look as soon as they got to Paint Creek and I’m so glad they did! Nate’s reaction to seeing Lauren just melted my heart. He was in awe of his beautiful bride all day long. In nearly every single photo he is looking at his wife with so much love and admiration. It was just amazing to capture.

Lauren and Nate had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and they got so lucky with the weather! It was beautiful and sunny for their ceremony and we were able to still take all of their family photos outside under the arch of flowers before a storm blew through! Then it magically stopped raining when it was time to sneak back out for more photos after dinner. The weather was on their side for sure. I just love the portraits we took of them – they are such a joyful and sweet couple. Lauren and Nate love to travel and adventure together – Nate actually proposed to Lauren on the beach in Grand Turk! And they absolutely couldn’t wait to begin their honeymoon and their first adventure as husband and wife. Their flight to Jamaica the morning after their wedding left before 8am! They were in paradise by the afternoon, how cool is that!?

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Dougherty!! I am so happy for you guys and so honored I was able to be with you for your wedding! I hope you cherish these images for many years to come and I can’t wait for you to see your full gallery soon!
