I’m so excited to be sharing Kara and CJ’s beautiful wedding at Fox Hills today! This sweet couple married a few weeks ago on one of the nicest July summer days and it was definitely a day to remember. When I had my first phone call with Kara last summer, I knew I had to be her wedding photographer – we just instantly clicked. Not only is Kara the absolute sweetest, but she’s also a fellow Spartan! If I could pick one word to describe Kara and CJ’s wedding day, it would be joyful. These two were so happy, joyful, and relaxed all day long. It was an absolutely perfect day from start to finish and every single person at their wedding just adores this couple. It was so wonderful to be apart of.

We started off their day at Kara’s parents’ home before heading to the church. The girls had so much fun getting ready and there was so much excitement in the air! Kara did the sweetest first look with her parents and her dad’s teary eyes definitely had me crying a little! We took some of the sweetest photos with her family, including her dog! The photo of Kara and her dog is an absolute favorite of mine. It’s so candid and perfect!

Kara and CJ are both very close with their families and that was evident throughout every part of the day. Kara even sewed a patch of fabric in the shape of a heart from her grandfather’s suit into the pocket of her dress! Her engagement ring also belonged to CJ’s mom. I just love how these little details made up their story.

CJ’s parents both walked him down the aisle and it was such a special moment. Even more special was when CJ saw Kara for the first time. He was definitely blinking back tears and had to look down to take a breath. She quite literally took his breath away. It was so sweet! After the ceremony, we headed to downtown Plymouth to take a few quick photos in front of the fountain before heading to Fox Hills.

Their reception was held at Fox Hills in Plymouth and it was the perfect setting for their celebration. The room was so beautiful all filled with gold accents, violet florals, and lots of greenery! Perfect summer wedding colors! The photos we captured outside on the greens at Fox Hills were so beautiful in the July sun! Even more amazing are the sunset photos of Kara and CJ. The evening light was so perfect! This was definitely a day to remember.

Kara and CJ, I have loved getting to know you guys and I’m so honored I got to capture your day! Your wedding day was amazing and I hope you love your photos as much as I do! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Thompson!!
