I was so excited for Liz and Matt’s summer engagement session on Belle Isle and it did not disappoint! Liz and Matt were actually my first couple to book me for 2019 so their engagement session was a little extra special! We got lucky with such a beautiful June evening – not too hot and no rain!

Liz and Matt are two of the kindest people and so laidback! They’re the kind of couple that makes you instantly feel like you’ve been friends with them for a long time. I seriously loved hanging out with these two and exploring new places for photos! Belle Isle is one of my favorite locations for engagement sessions. I love the mix of beautiful architecture, greenery, water, and the marble fountain! We captured some gorgeous photos in front of the Detroit Yacht Club and they are definitely some new all time favorites!! Liz and Matt had the cutest champagne toast in front of the sailboats! Wait till you see Liz’s stunning white lace dress!

I love how much these two laugh and have fun. They have so much fun together! Liz and Matt are seriously so darn cute in every single photo. I love Liz’s smile and how Matt can make her laugh! My couples always make their sessions so much fun!

Although it was a pretty overcast day, the sun popped out at the very end of the evening with a beautiful pink sunburst for a few final photos in front of the Detroit River! It was the perfect end to their perfect engagement session.
