Welcome to the Brp journal
One of my big goals for 2017 is to blog more, including more of my personal life and travels. We traveled so much last year and I didn’t share any of it! I love documenting our adventures, even if it’s solely with my iPhone. (Sometimes it is just too difficult to travel with the Mark iii!)
This past month, eleven of us boarded the Carnival Magic in Port Canaveral, Florida and took a seven night cruise to the Caribbean. It was my first cruise and everyone who had to listen to me in the months leading up to debarkation knew I was a little nervous. I grew up spending time on the water, but until February I had never done a cruise before. Hands down it turned out to be one of the very best vacations I’ve ever taken. I’m not even sure we were off the boat before we started talking plans for the next cruise in 2019.
This family vacation was over a year in the making and I feel so blessed that we were able to take this trip with Jason’s family. This post is a collection of some of my favorite photos from our incredible cruise and our adventures in Cocoa Beach, Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk. All photos were taken with my iPhone 7 and edited only for exposure. Yes, the colors really were that blue! Keep scrolling if you want to see incredible ocean views and bright green palm trees!

Disney Springs is my happy place and no trip is complete without a stop for chocolate ice cream at Ghiradelli!
I was obsessed with our towel animals! We had a different one each day!
Jason had fruit loop french toast at our sea day brunch… seriously, check that out!
Port 1: Amber Cove, Dominican Republic
You’ll see it in every photo of me – I missed a small area of sunscreen and had a nice burn line the whole trip! Haha
Swimming with Max the dolphin! Major bucket list item achieved.
We even zip-lined in the Dominican!!
Port 2: St Thomas, USVI
I love my family!!!
A few of my favorite desserts – the Carnival melting cake was ahhhmazing!
Deck party on Lido!
Port 3: San Juan, Puerto Rico
The old fort in San Juan as we left port.
Port 4: Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos
Our favorite port of the cruise!
Last day at sea…
