It has been a hot minute since I’ve done a Downtown Detroit engagement session so I was super excited when Katy and David chose Detroit for their engagement session! With such a rainy June, it took a few tries to get the weather to cooperate but we finally got a nice evening to capture their photos! We started in Midtown around the Detroit Institute of Arts and Detroit Public Library before heading to Downtown Detroit.

Katy and David are SO dang cute! Seriously, they were all smiles and laughs throughout their entire session and they made the evening a blast. I seriously loved hanging out with these two and running around the streets of Detroit! You can feel their joy in these photos! Katy and David actually met while volunteering for a community service organization – how sweet is that!? They are both incredibly hardworking and so kind. I’m always blown away by how wonderful my couples are. I truly feel so lucky that I get to become friends with such amazing people!

I truly had the hardest time narrowing down photos for the blog because I just loved them all! I absolutely can’t wait for your wedding and I’m counting down the days until we get to hang out again at The War Memorial in October!! And next time you guys will be MARRIED!!
