Welcome to the Brp journal
It’s definitely been a busy summer and full of so many special weddings! In late July I had the honor of capturing Stephanie and Eric’s lovely summertime Palazzo wedding! It was one of the hottest days of the entire summer, but so such an incredible day for an awesome couple! We even still managed to catch a few rays of sunshine in between pouring rain storms throughout the day and got a few sunset portraits! I couldn’t ask for much more than that!
We started the day at one of my very favorite places – the Royal Park Hotel in Downtown Rochester. It’s hands down one of the best hotels in Metro Detroit and it has a special place in my heart because that’s where we got ready on our wedding day! I love all of the photos we captured of Stephanie and Eric getting ready! The photos of Stephanie’s bridesmaids and flower girl playing with balloons are definitely favorites of mine! But the best photo from the day might be from Stephanie and Eric’s first touch before they left for the church. They chose to hold hands around a corner and read their letters to each other. tephanie was holding back tears when her hand met with Eric’s around the corner. She was only responding with one word answers for a few moments and Eric asked if she was crying. Stephanie said yes and Eric burst into laughter. He squeezed her hand a little tighter and I’m pretty sure he had tears in his eyes, too. It was seriously the sweetest!!
After their beautiful church ceremony, we drove in the pouring rain to Van Hoosen Museum in Rochester for portraits. It only took a few moments for the rain to completely disappear so we could take photos! Seriously SO good! I love the ones with all the post rain glowiness!
Every part of Stephanie and Eric’s summertime Palazzo wedding was so heartfelt. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room during speeches. Eric’s brother couldn’t leave base to make it to the wedding, but he recorded a video for Stephanie and Eric and surprised them with it as the last speech. Everyone was in tears and it was just so incredible to witness! These two are so loved by their friends and family and I think it’s so evident in all of their photos how treasured this couple is.
Congratulations again Mr. and Mrs. Cinder!! I am so glad I got to be a part of your day and I hope you love these photos!!
