Welcome to the Brp journal
It’s official launch day and I’m so excited to share my new website and logo design!
Ahh it’s finally live! This project has been several months in the making and I’m just so happy. I think this new brand is so classic, romantic, and authentic. It’s a great fit for me and captures my personality so well!
I owe everything and then some to my partner in crime, Jason. He is the webmaster behind the new site design and this just wouldn’t have been possible without him! I also want to thank the amazing Kaleigh Turner Creative for my gorgeous logo design! She did an incredible job and was so much fun to work with. Really. I can’t say enough good things.
Kaleigh started off with this lovely mood board below that encompassed a lot of elements I adore. I’ve grown up on the big blue waters of Michigan lakes and have spent my yearly vacations near the ocean. I love being near water and feeling sand under my feet, the breeze, the beautiful blue… It makes my heart happy. Kaleigh worked hard to incorporate water, my favorite pale pink, flowy script, and vintage elegant style into my brand. She came up with the idea of the sailor’s knot and I was immediately in love.
The primary element of the sailor’s knot is more than just a representation of water. It is also meant to represent a strong bond that is easily broken. It’s the perfect symbol for “tying the knot” and the commitment of marriage. I wanted my brand to represent genuine everlasting love and match my passion for couples in love who can’t wait to spend their lives together forever.
Now these colors! Kaleigh selected the stormy blue gray to match the color of water early in the morning and the pale pink to tie into my favorite blush colored elements. No surprise, she also did an amazing job on the secondary logos and watermarks. Check out the full brand board:
Launching this site was project number one and now I can’t wait to start working on the rest of my packaging and business collateral. First item on the list, new business cards! Finally – to celebrate the new site launch, head on over to Instagram to enter to win my giveaway! A huge thank you again to Jason and Kaleigh – you guys rock! Happy Friday!
